Expert Minimally Invasive Treatment. Personalized Vascular Care.

At VascuHealth, we help patients find lasting relief from vascular disease, uterine fibroids, enlarged prostate, venous disorders, and chronic pain, without open surgery or lengthy hospital stays.

Dr. Uchenna Nwosu, our dual board-certified Interventional Radiologist, provides advanced image-guided treatments to patients throughout Maryland, Northern Virginia, and the Washington, D.C. metro area. Unlike many practices where patients are treated by someone other than the evaluating physician, he personally evaluates, treats, and follows every patient from consultation through recovery, with a treatment plan built around their individual needs.

    Vascular Conditions We Treat

Many patients wait months for a specialist referral, only to hear that surgery is their only option. We focus on your condition, not which department handles it. We identify the right procedure for you and perform it personally at our clinic.

UFE and PCS Embolization PAE and Varicocele Embolization Leg and Foot Circulations Vein Conditions Knee Pain Hemorrhoid Artery Embolization Dialysis Access Management
    UFE and PCS
    When Surgery Can Be Avoided
Uterine fibroids and pelvic congestion syndrome are consistently undertreated. Most women spend years on hormones or get pushed toward hysterectomy, even when a minimally invasive alternative exists. Uterine fibroid embolization (UFE) and pelvic congestion syndrome embolization address the root cause. No uterus removal, no general anesthesia and no hospital stay.
    PAE and Varicocele Embolization (1)
When Symptoms Are Affecting Daily Life
Enlarged prostate causing difficulty, or varicocele causing scrotal pain, both have proven non-surgical, outpatient solutions. PAE reduces prostate size without surgery. Varicocele embolization treats venous reflux without an incision. If medication isn't working, or surgery is the only option being offered, we can treat both conditions at VascuHealth.
    Leg and Foot Circulations (1)
When Walking Hurts or Wounds Won't Heal
Peripheral artery disease reduces blood flow to your legs and feet. It starts as cramping on a walk or gets worse over time, bringing rest pain, cold feet, and wounds that won't close if left untreated. Dr. Nwosu, a vascular expert, performs PAD treatment including angioplasty, stenting and atherectomy as same-day outpatient procedures.
    vein conditions new
When Your Legs Ache, Swell or Feel Heavy
When your legs ache, swell or feel heavy, heaviness and swelling build throughout the day, and visible bulging veins are signs that blood is pooling in the wrong direction. We treat deep venous thrombosis, vein reflux, varicose veins and surface vein disease through endovenous ablation, ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy, ambulatory phlebectomy and DVT thrombolysis.
    knee pain (1)
When Knee Pain Is Limiting Your Daily Life
Knee osteoarthritis does not have to end in surgery. Many patients come to us after years of injections and medication that provide less relief each time, with joint replacement presented as the only remaining option. Geniculate artery embolization reduces blood flow to the inflamed tissue driving your pain, improving mobility and comfort without an incision, without general anesthesia and without a hospital stay.
    Hemorrhoid Artery Embolization new
When Hemorrhoid Bleeding Has Not Resolved With Standard Care
Internal hemorrhoids that continue bleeding despite banding, medication and dietary changes have not had their root cause addressed. Arterial blood feeding the tissue is the issue. Hemorrhoid artery embolization reduces that inflow through a catheter, with no incision and no general anesthesia. You go home the same day.
    Dialysis Access Management new
When Your Access Site Is Underperforming
When your access site is underperforming, whether it's narrowed flow, a compromised access site, or a disrupted dialysis schedule, at VascuHealth we perform the full range of dialysis access management, including fistulagrams, angioplasty, and thrombolysis, to restore and maintain access function, working alongside your nephrology team. All procedures are outpatient in our clinic, so your hemodialysis treatment schedule stays on track.
